The Kandel lab has an opening for a post doctoral fellow interested in musculoskeletal regenerative medicine. Their research focuses on developing a biological disc replacement and investigation of the mechanisms regulating tissue formation. The Kandel lab employs state-of-the art methods such as CRISPR gene editing, single cell sequencing, and proteomics. You must like working collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
The lab is located in the Lunenfeld Tannenbaum Research Institute at Sinai Health in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, which provides a supportive training program. The University of Toronto and adjacent hospital research institutes provide a rich academic ecosystem and access to all the equipment and expertise necessary to do significant research.
The salary is competitive.
